Local Music Tip:
Vanguard Party
Breaks out of the garage

We got the tip that local band, Vanguard Partymade up of guys living in the Northgate Park and Duke Park neighborhoods of Durham is busting out for their first show in support of their new EP Cycles in the Sky. These cats play rock music with melodic hooks supported by distorted guitars, driving rhythms, and tasteful piano. The four song EP explores, to quote their press release, “the gamut of emotions, from the pain of personal loss to the awe of existence in an infinite universe.”

Check them out live at The Pinhook a week from tomorrow, Thursday night, October 2nd.
