So Good Pupusas

At the Clarion Content, we are making a concerted effort to cover more stories about and relevant to our vibrant Durham Latino community. Arturo Sanchez, our Sights on the City host, has spent nearly a decade living, working, and attending school in Durham.

Cecilia Polanco and Arturo Sanchez talk Social Justice and Pupusas

Cecilia Polanco is an amazing and inspiring person. A graduate of Durham Public Schools, specifically Northern High School, she earned Morehead-Cain scholarship to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She took a gap year before attending college and traveled from Australia to Italy, again on a scholarship.

She tells us how her unique journey led to her founding So Good Pupusas, a family food truck that in addition to making fabulous pupusas gives other low-income, Latino students scholarships.
